My name is João Leitão, I’m from Portugal. I own an advertisement company in south-east Morocco.
I have several travel blogs online, and, again, the necessity of sharing information makes me create another specially directed to this specific region of the world. I traveled 14 days from Istanbul in Turkey to Erbil in Iraq Republic – Kurdistan Region and back to Istanbul during August 2009.
The main purpose of this blog is to make travel easy. Enjoy.

I want to thank my best friends Sarkawt, Halkawt, Fawzi and Breem, their family and friends that made my trip to Iraqi Kurdistan much better and gave me a pleasant insight of the culture and human values.

Dear Joao, my name is Henry Langston I work for VBS.TV and we are interested in making a film about the PKK in Northern Iraq, but we intend to start the film in Turkey, I was wondering how you crossed the border from Tukey into Northern Iraq and what paperwork did you need? And where could you get that paperwork from?
