After at least 1 hour looking for a hotel with good price aka cheap in town, I found out that all hotels in Dohuk are at least 25,000 dinars up for a double room. I first went to Hotel Parlement, because I knew they had single rooms for 10.000 dinars. All other hotels I been they didn’t have single bed rooms. I would have to pay for the room completely and couldn’t really share a double room. So I persisted searching until I found something within my budget.

On my last hotel, I managed to persuade a man to let me stay in a triple room, with the condition that he could rent the other 2 beds for someone that would also want a cheaper room.
I stayed two nights, and only one I shared the room with a guy from Turkey who was furious when I told him that smoking in the room was impossible, and, like smoking was also prohibited in the reception, the guy had to smoke out on the street. Also he wanted the air conditioning while sleeping, 16 degrees inside the room the whole night. I just wanted the ceiling fan working. Conclusion, I made a friend.
