  • in the Kurdish area of Iraq you can get a 10 days entry permit at the border of Ibrahim Khalil, this 10 days can easily be extended in Erbil;
  • another type of visa is issued for the Arab controlled regions of Iraq. Since the country is very dangerous for everyone specially for foreigners, authorities seem to be only given visas by the embassy and currently only open to journalists and people who for business.
