Belvedere Palace in Vienna

Belvedere Palace in Vienna

The Belvedere Palace in Vienna is a fantastic museum.

A Baroque palace started to be built in 1714 and took several construction periods separated into several buildings.

After several periods with many architects and owners, it is since the World War II that the Austrian Gallery moved here, bringing much of the existing art collection shown at the moment.

The museum is divided in five major collections

  • Gothic Art Collection
  • Baroque Art Collection
  • Art Collection of Nineteenth Century( Neoclassicism, Romanticism, Historicism, Realism, Impressionism, Symbolism)
  • Art around 1900
  • Art Collection of the Century XX and XXI (Gustinus Ambrosi Museum and Atelier Augarten)
