About the city of Cairo
Cairo aka “The city of thousand minarets” is an unbelievable city, exotic, chaotic and full of interesting monuments, museums and other sightseeing places to get you busy for many days. Cairo is the capital city of Egypt and it has around 17 million people in all its urban area. It is the largest city in Africa.

I got to Cairo in the evening and my first approach to the city was full of mysterious light illuminating various mosques, streets and busy squares. I got my airport taxi take me to the well known district called Islamic Cairo, the place of 2005 bombings. I got this nice and cheap hotel with a fantastic window right in the middle of Hussein square. Amazing place.
I came back to Cairo after I traveled around Jordan, Israel, Palestine and the rest of Egypt. I then stayed at a different hotel on a different part of the city.
