Taxi Dortmund Airport to City Center, Germany

Filed in Germany by on April 22, 2011 0 Comments

joao leitaoI decided to take a taxi from the airport of Dortmund (Dortmund Airport – IATA: DTM, ICAO: EDLW) to the city center where I had to catch a train to Darmstadt at Dortmund Hauptbahnhof (Central Train Station in Dortmund).

Since I was flying from Ukraine, I somehow got confused with the German time zone, so I ended up being with an extra hour that I was planning, and was also with some excess baggage. The simplest was to take a taxi to the train station.

The taxi ride takes about 15 minutes on an 10km journey to the city center. The taxi driver spoke a little English and was really nice. The trip from the airport gate to the train station door cost 22.30 EUROS.
