This is the usual means of transport to reach the island of Qeshm, an little island beyond the Strait of Hormuz.

This boat halfway across the Gulf of Oman is a journey full of ups and downs as the small boat goes very fast through the waves, 45 minutes away in a little boat full of people, packed like a can of sardines.

These boats are owned by old men and their mechanical conditions are not the best.

Basically the trip throws you into the Persian Gulf water’s on a small boat at 60km / h in waters full of sharks.

This journey takes about 45 minutes from the port of Bandar-e Abbas to the port of Qeshme, small town on the island of the same name.

This whole area of Iran is very beautiful and the trip is full of adventure, out of everything, nothing touristy. You can see the big cargo ships and large tankersmoving in the Persian Gulf.

On my trip back to Bandar-e Abbas, the boat stopped because the engine broke down. We stood in the water for about 20 minutes until another taxi came to help. 20 people, in the middle of nowhere, waiting.

The taxi ticket Bandar-e Abbas to the island of Qeshm boat cost 7500 Rials in 2004.
