Video of driving in Agdam Nagorno Karabakh

joao leitaoOne of the things that impressed me the most while traveling in Nagorno Karabakh was definetelly the town of Agdam. This is a huge town empty and all destroyed. When we reached Agdam we wanted to go to the center but didn’t know exactly where to go, so we followed the towers of the mosque that were seen by far.

We arrived there after driving through blown roads and bombed houses. A ghost town where even the birds you can’t hear. There are no birds or any life at all – very strange. An uncomfortable silence. Without a doubt, this city is a must see. If the Armenian troops come to you (as you usually need permission), just say you’ll stay for a couple of minutes. Also take the northern road to get there – the road people from Stepanakert actually take when visiting the city on the weekends.
